The Story Behind TechFluent
Why I’m on a mission to help you master Microsoft 365
The Origin Story
I wasn’t supposed to become a Tech trainer.
I was a distribution coordinator, then senior distribution coordinator, handling 1,600+ emails a month in a fast-paced environment where every minute mattered. Excel was a tool I had to use- not something I was passionate about. But something happened along the way. I started discovering shortcuts. Then automations. Then tricks that cut my repetitive tasks in half. Colleagues noticed. They started asking questions. “How did you do that?” became a daily occurrence. Before I knew it, I was the go-to person for anything Microsoft 365 related. Not because I had certifications or formal training, but because I’d figured out what actually works in the real world-the stuff that saves you time on a busy Tuesday afternoon.
The Problem I Saw
Most Microsoft 365 training is created by people who teach software, not people who use it.
They cover features, not workflows. They show you where buttons are, not when to press them. And they rarely address the real issue: most people are afraid to experiment because they don’t want to break something. I watched colleagues spend hours on tasks I could complete in minutes – not because they were less capable, but because nobody had shown them the efficient way. That felt wrong.
The TechFluent Mission
Most Microsoft 365 training was built for classrooms, not for your Monday morning.
I spent years watching smart, capable people waste hours on tasks that should take minutes – not because they lacked ability, but because nobody had shown them a better way. The training that existed was either too expensive, too generic, or too disconnected from the reality of actual work.
TechFluent exists to close that gap. Every course is built around real workflows – the ones I refined over years of high-pressure deadlines – and taught in a way that respects your time and your intelligence. Microsoft 365 is now the standard for professional work, and you deserve training that keeps pace with it.
About Greg
Greg is the founder of TechFluent and a self-taught Microsoft 365 specialist who spent years refining workflows in high-pressure business environments. After being promoted within a year from Distribution Coordinator to Senior Distribution Coordinator, Greg took voluntary redundancy to pursue his dream of helping others work smarter – not harder.
He also holds professional certificates in Microsoft Excel and Google AI. Rather than teaching him anything new, the experience reinforced his conviction that most formal training is padded with filler, poorly paced, and disconnected from how people actually use these tools at work. TechFluent was built to fix that.
When he’s not creating courses, Greg enjoys spending time as a father to his two wonderful boys and a husband to his lovely wife.
The TechFluent Promise
I built TechFluent with one goal: teach you so well that you don’t need me anymore.
Practical Over Theoretical –> Everything taught is something I’ve used in real work
Fear-Free Learning –> You’ll always know what’s reversible and how to experiment safely
Results, Not Retention –> My goal is your independence, not your ongoing subscription
